Scary scam alert. Some Asian bloke called me and somehow knew my full name, claiming he was from CIB citizens. He kept asking for my personal details, and when I refused, he started swearing at me.

They keep ringing me a couple times a day. I’ve not answered any of the calls but figured since they’re so persistent it might be important. When I did reply, it said ‘number not recognised’ so clearly someone’s spoofing the number - probably from abroad - just to make you pick up! Gonna block them for sure. Fed up with these dodgy calls. Got a call, they asked for me by my name. The line was awful, and the accent sounded strange, couldn't tell where it was from. Claimed to be from some government credit dept, then just dropped the call. Blocked straight away!

Got a call this morning from an Asian bloke claiming to be from 'Citizens Advice', using my name and trying to talk about my unsecured debts. Told him twice I’ve got none and he just hung up. Switched my phone off afterwards coz I heard about scams where they keep charging you even after you hang up. When I turned the phone back on this arvo, he rang again but I didn’t pick up. No clue what that was about. Bit unsettling really.

Got a call today saying I owe money. When I said I don’t have any debts, the person started accusing me of lying and said I’d be glad when bailiffs turn up at my place.

I told him it sounded dodgy since I used to work at Citizens Advice and they never do stuff like that. When I said I'd get in touch with Citizens Advice and the police, he got rude, so I just ended the call.
