I picked up and it started redialing, rang a few times then a foreign bloke came on, struggled with my name big time. I told him "this is a cold call, isn't it?" and he kept insisting it wasn’t a sales call or anything like that. Still, I blocked the number since I never asked to be contacted. I received an interesting phone call earlier claiming to be from the Nuisance Call Prevention UK, supposedly in partnership with UK telecommunication companies. The chap on the line queried whether I had been inundated with nuisance calls, which I found rather amusing. I countered him with my own question, asking how on earth he could be so certain about my situation, implying that perhaps they were part of the problem.
