I got a call from someone saying my Internet router was showing errors and that it was ee warning me about a potential hacker threat. They said they could sort it out in a few minutes without needing any private info. I said I weren’t the one who pays the bills and that they should talk to my mum. They then spoke to her, but she said she’d rather ring the provider herself to check. After that, the guy got rude and told my mum to f**k off and call whoever she wanted, adding that our service would be disconnected in six months. She just ended the call there and then.
