Just like a few others mentioned, got a call from someone saying they were from the "Tax Advisory Group" about a PPI claim I never filed with a firm I don't even know. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

Got a call supposedly from someone handling a matter from HMRC about a tax overpayment query from a couple of years back - I’m sure I sorted it out already though! Either way, I wouldn’t get involved with any third party over this, even if I was thinking of revisiting the issue!

Somehow they've got hold of my info, supposedly from HMRC, and told me I could get a tax refund if they handle it for me (probably charging a fee). But hang on, if HMRC knew I overpaid tax, why haven’t they contacted me themselves? Doesn't sit right at all.
