Got a text from Cheltenham saying my card was connected to some Apple iPhone 7. I went ahead and clicked the link, but now I’m worried if I’ve caused any harm since the page just ended up with a 404 error. Next time I’ll just ignore and delete it straight away, definitely not worth the risk.

Someone pretending to be Apple called me to say I’d added my card to Apple Pay. They asked me to confirm if I’d done it. I told them it wasn’t me and reckoned they were trying to link my card somewhere dodgy, so I just blocked the number.

Got a call from someone pretending to be Apple, saying that my card was linked to Apple Pay on an iPhone, then sent a link to click. It definitely wasn’t me as I don’t even own an iPhone or use Apple Pay. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

I got a message claiming it was from Apple saying I’d linked my card to Apple Pay on an iPhone 7. The message said if I hadn’t done it, I could cancel using some weird link (#id3_device or something). The link looked kinda like it went to Apple, but I had a bad feeling about it so I just closed it down and deleted the message. I don’t even own an iPhone and never tried to use Apple Pay, so it’s gotta be a scam.
