I got this automated call warning that my phone was gonna be disconnected since my number was supposedly linked to some criminal stuff. It said to press one to talk to support and then passed me over to an "investigation unit" that sounded like the police. They asked for my personal details - like my full name, birth date, and national insurance number - and said they'd ring me back later. Feeling uneasy, I called 101 in the afternoon to check if there really was any issue, and they told me straight up it was a scam.
