Received a message dated the 2nd of October, 2009, and didn't bother replying, just got rid of it. It read: "FREEMSG: Our records suggest you might be eligible for £3,750 due to an accident you were involved in. If you wish to continue, simply text YES. To discontinue, reply with quit." Really makes you wonder, doesn’t it?

I've received the same persistent call from 07799785073, claiming I could receive £3,750! True enough, I've had an accident, but what baffles me is how these callers seem to know I didn’t inform anyone about it. How can they possibly have this information? I’m currently on O2, by the way.

Absolutely, we’ve just experienced the same thing, and the message is exactly the same. We’ve never had an accident and haven’t claimed any funds. We’re with Orange as well and are quite puzzled about how these individuals manage to obtain our phone numbers.

Received a text that was just like one from 02/10/09. Didn't bother to reply, so I got rid of it. Message popped up saying: "Our records show you could be eligible for £3750 due to an accident you were involved in. Reply with YES to claim this for free. If you'd like to unsubscribe, just text quit." Quite the cheeky nonsense, if you ask me!
