I recently received a rather dodgy text that read: "FREEMSG: Our records suggest you could be due a payout of £3750 following an accident. Please respond to this message to claim. To unsubscribe, text quit to 07759458945." I’ve not responded, obviously, as it seems like a classic phishing scam. Honestly, why on earth would anyone relinquish their personal information for something they never signed up for in the first place? It’s a bit rich, especially considering they haven’t even sorted out a proper "opt-out" system for organ donation yet!

"Just received this text: 'FREEMSG: Our files show you could be eligible for £3,750 due to an incident you've had. To claim at no cost, simply reply AID to this message. To unsubscribe, text STOP.' sent from 07759458945. We haven't engaged with it at all. Seems rather suspicious, don't you think? Why on earth would we want to unsubscribe from something we never registered for in the first place? Honestly, these scammers can't even be bothered to sort out proper opt-out mechanisms for organ donation yet!"

Just received a message that states I could be owed £3,750 for an accident I allegedly had. It instructs me to reply with "AID" if I'm interested in claiming and says I can text "STOP" to opt out. I haven't replied to this yet, as it seems rather dodgy! It's baffling why I’d want to opt out of something I never even volunteered for. Plus, it’s absurd that these crooks are sending messages like this while proper opt-out systems for things like organ donation are still a work in progress!
