Additionally, the link they provided led to “urgent-test-kit ...” - not something the NHS would do, since legitimate communications would always include an NHS or gov.org web address. Plus, any official correspondence from the NHS tends not to come from a personal mobile number.

I had a hunch it was a scam but wanted to see how far they'd go. I gave them a silly fake name, and they still tried to grab my info. Then they asked for my bank details to cover postage on a PCR test, followed by a request to insure it and cough up extra cash so it could be "safely delivered." Honestly, who falls for that rubbish? Don’t click on anything, it’s definitely a scam. Also, I caught covid back in December and was sick through January. I’m vaccinated now, so I reckon I’m unlikely to catch it again any time soon.
