I just recieved a message from this number saying I'd "been around" someone with the Omicron variant and needed to get a test kit asap... it seemed a bit suspicious to me. The NHS wouldn’t phrase it like "been around" a person like that. Also, the link they sent was for some "urgent-test-kit ..." - NHS texts usually include a government or nhs.uk address, which this didn’t. Plus, I’ve never had an NHS text that includes a personal phone number either. Definitely looked dodgy!

I had a hunch it was a scam but wanted to see how far they'd go. I gave them a silly fake name, and they still tried to grab my info. Then they asked for my bank details to cover postage on a PCR test, followed by a request to insure it and cough up extra cash so it could be "safely delivered." Honestly, who falls for that rubbish? Don’t click on anything, it’s definitely a scam. Also, I caught covid back in December and was sick through January. I’m vaccinated now, so I reckon I’m unlikely to catch it again any time soon.
