Got a call like this right after having a PCR test done at the hospital. It was pretty worrying since I thought I might have covid and I’m quite vulnerable to it. I had to get one of my kids to mention it was just a scam. It’s really upsetting how things have turned out! The word “variant” was spelled wrong, and they said something about contacting omicron which didn’t sound right. Honestly, no clue how they got my phone number, I only shared it with the hospital.

Like many others have said, I got a text from this number early today at 01:19 claiming I’d been close to someone with the omicron variant. I’ve been isolating and working remotely for years so there’s no way that’s true. The link in the message led to a website that Microsoft flagged as dangerous. I’m really scared of catching the virus and waking up to that message completely threw me off. Honestly, if I managed to track down whoever sent it, I don’t know what I might have done.

Got a text in the middle of the night about 2:45am saying something like: NHS Alert: You’ve been close to a person with the Omicron Virus. Order your test kit now at: ... It’s definitely a dodgy message, so I sent it straight to my phone provider by forwarding it to 7726. Would recommend everyone else do that too.
