Got a call from someone claiming to be from Santander, saying they’d blocked a payment to AirBnB. Since I booked through AirBnB not long ago, I rang back using the number they gave me. The bloke on the phone had a proper British accent and seemed really polite, saying he’d fix the issue for me. Then out of nowhere, he asked for my bank details to "sort it out" with my bank. When I said no way, he just ended the call. I reckon plenty of folks might get caught by this one.
