I dealt with first home improvements and honestly, they were really unprofessional. They held onto my money for ages, so I’d steer clear if I were you.

Steer clear of this lot! I foolishly let the salesman come round for a quote on doors and windows. After spending nearly two hours with him one evening, he hit us with a price that was way beyond the other estimates I'd gathered. All the while, he kept phoning his manager right in front of us. Talk about serious pressure selling - or should I say a total disaster, as he hardly knew what he was doing. The cost was slashed to about half after his first call, but he just couldn’t grasp that we weren't going to sign anything immediately, no matter how "good" the deal seemed. All that talk about a fixed price for two years went out the window as soon as he stepped inside. He was just desperate to close the sale. To make things worse, he left a glowing review of himself that completely ignored our feedback and twisted the story to make him look good. This company ought to be shut down - I can’t imagine how many elderly or vulnerable folks get pressured into handing over their money because they scare you into thinking your doors and windows are unsafe. My advice: just avoid them and slap a no cold callers sticker on your door!

Stay clear of First Home Improvements if you can. I got a visit from them for a window quote and their sales tactics were super pushy, almost made me feel unsafe. Apparently, they're connected to Help to Buy Windows or something. Honestly, they came off as really forceful and I wouldn’t trust them at all. Be careful!

Yeah, that was from First Home Improvements for sure. I ended up cancelling my contract pretty quickly - like within a week - and now they keep ringing me, probably trying to get me to change my mind. I've ignored the last two calls and they never bother to leave a message. I'd say steer clear.

Some bloke from First Home Improvements - they do double glazing - came round to give us a quote. Honestly, steer clear of them. Their hard sell approach felt really dodgy and pushy. Plus, the guy who came here decided it was a great idea to launch into a racist and bigoted tirade about kids’ telly these days. Proper shocking behaviour.
