Somebody called pretending to be from Virgin Mobile or O2, telling me my SIM wasn’t valid and I had to get a replacement. They claimed they’d reactivate my SIM within the next two to three working days, but first needed my address to send the new SIM card. When I asked how I could verify they really were from Virgin or O2, they brushed it off and told me not to worry and just carry on as usual. They warned that if I didn’t get a new SIM, I’d be breaking my contract terms. When I pushed for more details, they just ended the call.
