Someone rang me saying they could help get a refund from some PPI I supposedly took out, but I don’t remember it at all. They said they’d sort it through HMRC and I’d get the money back by Christmas.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the HMRC about my tax return. They claimed I could get a refund of about 3-4k in 6 to 8 weeks if I filled out their form. They even asked if I wanted to begin right away. I thought I’d be polite and told them to take a hike in the nicest way possible!
