Not really sure who it was but our BT call blocker stopped it because it was an unknown number. They didn’t leave any voicemail or anything, so I doubt it was someone legit trying to reach us. Plus, everyone who has our landline also knows our mobile numbers, and none of us got a call from this number at all.

Seems like a legit mobile number at first but then they asked me for my credit card details to pay for an oven cleaning I supposedly arranged with some local company (which I never did). I told them to just prove it by sending an invoice, not sure I'll get anything back from them now.

Today I got a call on my landline from this number, but I just left it ringing on hands-free and didn’t say a word. After a while, the caller dropped, no one said anything at all. If it was a proper call, surely they would've said something. I've been doing this for a bit now and noticed fewer dodgy calls coming through. Plus, having the phone on hands-free means it doesn’t ring out loud or end up in voicemail. It helps that I’ve got a caller ID phone too, that’s a real bonus.
