Got a call from someone saying they were from a debt collector and that HMRC owes me money. They were using a mobile number, which seemed off. No way HMRC would ring from a mobile. Definitely a dodgy scam to watch out for.

Got a call from a mobile saying they were from HMR, told me they’d sort some refund. They said it was their official work mobile number! After blocking, they rang again but from a different number this time. When I asked why HMRC would ring on a personal mobile, the person just giggled like a kid and ended the call. Definitely a SCAM.
