this guy with an Asian accent called me saying my credit score was low, but I told him no way, I always check it. Then I asked him to take my info off their records but he said he wasn’t able to do that. I kept insisting but he wouldn’t budge. In the end, I just hung up and blocked the number.

Got a call today from someone saying they wanted to talk about my bank account. I tried to humour the bloke (had a foreign accent) by telling him I had six different accounts. He just kept going on and on, so I got annoyed and ended the call. He tried calling again but I ignored it. Honestly, such a pest, wish there was a way to make them disappear forever. Number’s blocked now on my phone.

Just had a look at my past calls and realised this very number rang me about a job offer last year. Silly me, I actually believed it and gave out info I really shouldn’t have. After that, someone managed to buy an iPhone 5 pretending to be me! The scammers seem to be UK-based but use Skype and various VOIP services to hide where they’re calling from. Seriously, don’t take these calls lightly - they’re definitely risky!

My wife got a call today on her new handset, a Nokia Lumia. She hasn’t installed True Caller yet, even though I told her to. The caller was using a Skype number - so if you manage to keep them talking, do it! They actually have to pay to make these calls through Skype. It’s just a small charge, but you can make it cost them instead of the other way round. This is absolutely a SCAM! Don’t share any personal info with them!

Some bloke called saying he needed to talk about my bank account. I told him I’m not sharing that info with anyone. There was some sort of office noise in the background too.

Some bloke rang claiming to be from MPS, saying my credit score was dropping due to debts. When I asked which debts, he said my mortgage. I told him to take my details off their system straight away. Then when I said I worked as a Bank Manager, he asked which bank, and when I asked why, he accused me of probably making it up! I ended the call and have since blocked the number.
