This morning I got a text from this number but my phone stopped it from coming through. The message said, "hi mum, I’ve got a new number now. Please ping me on WhatsApp," and then it had something that looked like a link. Obviously, I didn’t click it. Asked my daughter just to be sure and she said her number’s still the same, so I reckon it’s a scam. I can see how people who aren’t aware of these tricks might get caught out.
