Received a call from this number around 5:04 PM. I picked up the phone, but there was complete silence and the call just dropped. It’s the second time I’ve heard from a dodgy caller; the first encounter was about a month back, and they also advised me to visit some tax advisor site mentioned previously. The scammer even texted me the link! In a follow-up message, he asked if I wanted to reclaim some supposed extra tax from my PPI claim made ages ago. I firmly declined and expressed my distrust.

I received a curious message the other day. It had bits of my name and an email I've not touched since 2016, alongside my phone number. I received a phone call from a chap claiming I’d been overcharged on my tax while working through an agency. I made it clear that I only handle HMRC issues online and don’t discuss these matters over the phone or through texts. Just a heads up to everyone-be cautious and don’t share your bank details with strangers!

The line was exceedingly loud, making it rather tricky to catch what they were saying. They claimed I had reached out in December regarding a tax refund. However, as I rifled through my emails during the call, I couldn’t find anything of the sort. They propositioned to assist me in reclaiming some supposed overpaid tax on a no win, no fee basis, but I politely turned them down. Best to steer clear of this number, if you ask me.
