I got a text from this number saying there was suspicious activity on my PayPal and included a link. I figured it was dodgy so I didn’t click on it. Instead, I logged into my PayPal the normal way and everything was fine. I’m pretty certain PayPal wouldn’t contact you from a mobile number like that. So, don’t trust any links they send - it’s probably a scam! Just be careful out there.

I got the exact same alert saying someone accessed my PayPal account, just like the message before.

Like many others have mentioned, in my case I have a PayPal account and was about to let a workmate take over. At first, I thought the issue might have been my colleague’s fault. Still, I was cautious and avoided clicking the link sent in the message. Instead, I logged in through the usual website and thankfully everything was fine. Never ever click links in texts or emails - always stick to the official login pages to stay safe.
