Had a similar thing happen to me. Somehow this guy found out I've got £3700 in PPI compensation waiting. The weird bit is he already knew a few of my details, even if some were a bit old. Quite unsettling really.

Got a call saying I was owed over £3000 from some PPI thing, but they wanted me to pay £348 first. They already had my address, then started asking for my date of birth. I told them if they really had my claim details, they’d already have that info. Ended up hanging up and looked up the number online - turns out it's a scam.
