Got a call from someone claiming to be with a home energy firm. They seemed to know a lot about my place and even some personal info, which was a bit worrying. They said a surveyor would be nearby tomorrow and wanted to book a visit to assess my home's insulation because I qualified for a government grant. It struck me as odd that they called from a mobile number, and if this were legit, wouldn’t I have gotten a letter or something? I told them I wasn’t free and when I might be, but after I declined, I just ended the call. Pretty sure it’s a scam trying to get inside your home.

Sounds like a scam to me - they say they’re doing some sort of energy check, but I reckon they’re just trying to sneak into your house. Stay cautious!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with the Home Efficiency Team. When I asked what that actually meant, she just ended the call. Quite suspicious if you ask me.

So, a woman rang me and somehow already had my name, but then just disconnected straightaway. Our number isn’t listed publicly and we’re signed up with the TPS. Earlier this week, there was another call from a different number where the person also seemed to know my name and where I live. That was a sales pitch about solar panels too. Quite unsettling, really.
