Got a call saying there was a £600 purchase on my debit card from overseas. Definitely felt dodgy, so watch out, could be a scam!

Be careful, this feels like a scam. They claimed there was a dodgy transaction of £600 sent overseas and told me to press 2 to speak with someone about it. The line was really bad with loads of background noise, and the person wouldn’t say what company they were from or even confirm my bank. Definitely a scam, so watch out.

got a call with some recorded voice asking about a £600 charge from my debit card that was supposedly made abroad. they never said which bank or anything. i didn’t press 1 or 2 like they told me to, and they hinted that my card could get blocked. feels dodgy to me, likely a scam.

So, I noticed a £600 charge on my credit card a couple months ago, even though I cancelled the card by then. It was one of those automated calls trying to scam me. Total nightmare!

Got a call from this number early morning on 22/07/2020, about 10.10am, with a recorded message saying there was a £600 overseas transaction on my card. They asked me to press 2, but I didn’t respond. The message never said which bank or card it was about, really vague.

Got a call today at the exact same time with that automatic voice again. No caller ID, which is odd because banks or credit card companies usually show up properly. Total scam, definitely fraud, just stay away from it. Don’t press any numbers like it tells you to, like 1 or 2. If you’re worried, log into your credit card account online and check your recent charges.
