this guy, sounds asian, keeps ringing me up. he's so pushy and rude saying i’m due some ppi money back but to get it without a load of fees from the bank i gotta buy life insurance to cover the costs. what a load of rubbish. does anyone really believe this nonsense? honestly, why aren’t these scammers shut down already? been 27 calls now.

Got a call from an Asian guy saying he had a cheque to send me about PPI, claiming it was from the F.S.A. When I asked which firm the money was from, he just kept saying all calls were recorded. I pressed him again to say who he was calling on behalf of, and he just kept saying PPI. Then, surprisingly, he gave me my exact name and address - that kinda freaked me out! When I said the call was being recorded, he didn’t know what to say and just hung up. These people are so annoying, always trying from different mobile numbers. How do we actually stop them pestering us like this?

They ring me a few times mostly around dinner time but since they never bother to leave a voicemail I just let it go to answerphone now.

Got a call from someone with a weird accent, sounded like those dodgy takeaways, and they kept pushing for my details. Proper rude behaviour!

Got a call from these lot sayin they've got our PPI payout ready, but to get it, we had to sign up for life insurance. Naively, we went along with it, and surprise surprise, no cheque ever showed. Then, out of the blue, they ring back three months on, tellin us the broker had gone under and now we gotta get another life insurance policy. Proper cheats, preying on folks just tryin to get a bit of money owed to them.

I've lost count of how many times these lot ring me pretending to be from the PPI team. Whenever I ask where they're calling from, they mention either Gladstone Brooks or Barclaycard, thankfully I don't have accounts with either. Usually, they just hang up after that. I've blocked their numbers but they keep coming back on new ones, which feels like proper harassment. Even my workmates have picked up and been quite blunt with them, yet they don't stop. How on earth can we get these calls to end? I've had to block like ten different numbers just this week alone.

It's weird how many folks still don't use caller ID. If you get a call from a number you don't recognise or it shows up as 'withheld' or 'unavailable', just let it ring out and don't pick up. Simple as that.

My dad's gotten calls from this same number a couple times today, pretty sure they're scammers. They've called him before and last time he just told them to shove off in not-so-polite words. Real rude and pushy bunch.

They rang me about five times today, I picked up once and could hear loads of voices in the background but nobody said a word. Then, when they called again, some bloke with a foreign accent said he was from the British finance department. I told him they’d been calling loads and he just told me to f##k off! About 20 minutes later they rang again and the same guy claimed he was from a PPI checking agency. Honestly, felt really sketchy.

there’s this ppi scam going around where they try to get you to sign up for life insurance promising you might get some cash back. my mate gets like 7 to 10 calls daily from these lot. looks like they’re mainly targeting older people, so please watch out and help protect the elders in your family from falling for this fraud!

A bloke said he was with some credit investigation team, but he wasn’t pushing any sales or adverts or anything. So I asked him, “So what exactly is the purpose of your call then?” and he just hung up straight away.

never had any ppi, but these lot keep calling sayin all i need to get my money back is my bank account number. problem is ive never even dealt with that bank! total scam, just trying to trick people. ppi scam for sure!

I picked up and there was silence, so I just ended the call. Then, like less than a minute later, they called me right back and didn't say anything again. They've tried ringing me three more times after that. Gonna block them for good now.
