I got a recorded call sayin there was a charge of £700 and £900 on my credit card and to press 1 if I wanted to stop the payments - I just hung up straight away!

Got a call earlier today from some guy with a strong accent who claimed his name was Sam Williams (yeah, right!) and said he was ringing from BT about my internet. After I picked up, he just stayed silent for nearly ten seconds, then suddenly hung up when I asked why he’d cut me off. Pretty clear it was just a scam.
