Got a call from 07749330889, guy asked where he got my info from and what company he was with?! He said he took my details from my credit report and claimed he was with the government! I was just like, sure, right!!

Pretty much like what others have said, it’s another unwanted loan offer. It’s shocking how even official bodies like the DVLA seem to trade our personal info to anyone willing to fork out cash. I only got caught because my grandchild picked up the phone. Now, I’ve made it a rule not to pick up unless the number is saved in my contacts. It’s mad that it’s come to this.

Got a call earlier, sounded like it was from India, butchered my name and then started rambling about some unsecured debts that I apparently knew about already last week. They were quite pushy too. Ended the call and then the same number rang me twice straight after - I ignored both. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent, sounded like a call centre. He claimed to be from some 'Credit Debt Investigations Department' but wouldn't tell me the company name, proper rude and cheeky! When I asked why he was ringing from a mobile, he just cut me off!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent asking all sorts of personal stuff about debts. Proper nosy and wouldn't listen when I said no more calls. Ended up hanging up on me rudely. Best to block and steer clear.

Got a call from this number on my phone, rang for nearly 10 seconds then cut off. It looked a bit like a number I've blocked already from a couple days ago. I checked & it’s really close: the blocked one was 07749339692, this one’s 07449330889. Pretty much the same digits so must be the same firm. From what I’m seeing in other comments, this lot definitely need to be reported, especially since they say they’re from CAB - which is rubbish, CAB don’t do cold calls!

Got a phone call from this number just now. Some Indian bloke who seemed to know me and started asking about merging my loans into a single monthly payment. I told him I don’t have any loans at all. Then he claimed it wasn’t a cold call and that he was just trying to be helpful. I ended the call right after that.

Some woman called saying I had a loan registered under my name. I asked which company it was - she said some UK loan firm. Then she wanted to know if I wanted to take the loan.
