Had a message earlier today claiming a broken fibula and asking for a favour. I was confused because my sister-in-law’s name is Sarah as well, but she lives overseas, so it didn’t seem right. I replied asking "which Sarah?" and got a text back saying "Sarah tli." Haven’t responded since, but these messages keep coming asking if I’ll do the favour. Bit fishy if you ask me!

There’s someone using the name “Sarah” who’s reached out saying she’s in hospital due to a shattered fibula and is looking for cash to get her phone sorted or for a ride home. I’d advise against responding or sending her any funds. Better to be safe than sorry!

Got the usual story again from "Sarah" claiming she's stuck in hospital with a busted fibula. Seems a bit dodgy right from the start! It really annoys me when folks try to cash in on people's kindness like that. If anyone's been scammed, they really ought to track this person down and get the law involved.

I received a call from the number 07749277733, claiming to be my neighbour who’s currently in the hospital. They asked me to buy £20 worth of mobile top-up vouchers and then urged me to send them the codes. Please be warned-this is definitely a scam! It’s wise to verify any such requests with family or neighbours before taking any action. Stay vigilant!

i got a message from someone named sarah saying she was in hospital with a broken fibula. at first i thought it might be my ex, who’s also called sarah, so i asked how i could help. then they asked me to buy a top-up voucher. since i knew my ex uses a different phone number, i asked who they really were. after that, no reply came through. just a heads up, if someone you know tries to reach you from an unknown number, always double-check who it is before doing anything!

Pretty much the same old story: got a message from someone named Sarah about a broken fibia and asking for a favour to top up. I even know a Sarah myself and thought it might be her at first. Turns out, it’s just another scam to grab a phone top up. Definitely steer clear of it.

Got a message like that just yesterday. I know someone named Sarah too, and I kinda got tricked, but luckily I only gave them a ten quid voucher since I was a bit short on cash.

My mate went through the same thing, and by the way, my name's also Sarah. It's definitely a con, just a different company trying to get you to top up.

Got a message from some Sarah I’ve never met, saying she’d busted her fibula and needed a ride from the hospital. Bit weird, right?

Got the same text earlier and just ignored it.

I got a message from someone named Sarah saying she broke her fibula. What’s odd is I was chatting with my real friend Sarah at the exact same time, so it felt a bit off. Maybe just a strange coincidence, though.

i pretty much got the same message, it was kinda annoying tbh. Felt like they just copy-pasted it or something. Not sure if it’s some sort of scam or just a mix-up. Either way, not impressed.

Got a text from someone called ‘Sarah’ early this morning, saying she’d injured her fibula in an accident. Since I’ve got a new coworker with the same name, I just assumed it was her and ended up chatting and even bought a £20 Vodafone voucher for ‘her’. But when I got to work, there was my fit and well colleague, totally fine! I’ve disputed the charge, so hoping to get my money back, and I’ve also reported the number to my network. Seems like this scam’s been happening for ages with this name and those numbers - it really needs to be stopped!
