My mother-in-law got a call from a woman who sounded really hostile and just hung up abruptly. Luckily, she thought to dial 1471 to catch the number and sent it over to me. I called back a couple of times, but it went straight to an 02 voicemail. I left a courteous message asking her to get back to me about the issue. It’s been about 7 hours now and still no reply.

My mother-in-law got a call from someone claiming to be from House Protect. He kept pestering her for payment of a contract she’s never even signed. Quite upsetting, especially since she’s quite old and got really shaken up by the whole thing.

Does anyone recognise this number? They said they're some sort of call blocker and mentioned that I’m apparently in my third year with them. I’ve never heard of this firm before and when I tried ringing them back, it just went straight to the 02 voicemail. Really weird!

Some people called claiming to be from a firm called Home Serve. They said my mum had a contract with them and owed money, which is totally not true. Every website they sent me looked dodgy and fake. Honestly, they're such a hassle.
