Someone called claiming to be from the council's housing dept, saying I’ve been approved for a 2-bed bungalow since I’m disabled. They said their manager needs to check all my income details before I can officially get the place. This struck me as odd because when the housing officer first contacted me about the bungalow days ago, they never mentioned needing any income info and said the bungalow was all mine already - told me to get ready to move in! I’m really confused why now they suddenly want my income details. Doesn’t seem right to me.
