They told me to press 2 to talk to “their security team” if I wanted the payments to go ahead. There was no mention of which bank or any way to verify if these payments were legit. I’ve had my bank details compromised before and never got an alert like this. I also have my elderly mum’s landline forwarded to my mobile since she gets loads of scam calls even though she’s ex-directory and on the do-not-call register.
