I said yes when they asked if I owned the property, then they just hung up on me.

I got a call about some supposed £2,000 grants for new windows through something called energy solutions. They made it sound like it was a government thing, but when I asked for details like the company’s name, address, or phone number, they couldn’t give me anything. By the end, I was nearly feeling a bit sorry for whoever was on the other end. Total scam, though!

Got a call but no one spoke, just dead silence on the other end. Quite strange and frustrating!

Got a call earlier but only managed to pick up after it had ended. There was no voicemail left either. When I dialled 1471, it said the number couldn’t be identified. Bit strange, if you ask me.

There was a good few seconds of silence, then this recorded voice came on saying ‘your call is important to us, please hold the line’. Honestly, no thanks, I just hung up.

Got a call from some daft woman claiming it was a 'courtesy call' from energy solutions, then she asked for me by name. I don’t see what’s so courteous about that rubbish at all. I told her straight up, “why don’t you lot just bugger off?” and hung up. Felt heaps better after that. It’s the same old scam, pretending it’s some government recycling deal, but really just a ploy to hawk insulation stuff from “energy solutions”.

I missed a call from this number when I wasn’t home and there was no voicemail left. Definitely seems dodgy to me! I always make it a point to look up unknown numbers on this site and block them if they look suspicious. Can’t beat call guardian for that!
