I answered but then the call just cut off right away.

Got a call from a guy with a strong foreign accent saying he was calling from BT. He told me my internet was open to the public and anyone could use it. When I told him I doubted he was actually with BT, he started threatening to disconnect my internet. He said if I wanted it back, I'd have to visit BT's main office in person to sort it out. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.
