Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent. He was askin for me, said he was from the CAB and there was a debit on my name. When I asked him to explain who owed the debit, he just dropped the call.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent asking, "Can I speak to ##### ######?" and she actually used my real name. I said, "Yes, this is she." Then she just ended the call. I'm definitely gonna enjoy messing with this one and wasting loads of their time. ;-D

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent, saying he was from Credit Investigations about some external debts I supposedly owe. I told him I sort it all out every week and then just ended the call.

Hey Everyone, just a heads up it can take as long as 28 days to kick in but make sure you sign up for TPS, it should cut down on loads of annoying calls. Loads of times now ive had calls from mobiles like this sayin they’re from citizens advice. When I told the bloke it sounded like a scam, he started calling me daft and said he was givin me a reality check, real nice! My tip: just block these numbers and dont pick up when they ring.

Called me two times earlier today. Missed the first call, so I called back but got a message saying the number wasn’t recognised. Picked up the second call and it was a bloke with an Indian accent talking really slowly who knew my full name. He said he was from citizens advice about my debts (which I don’t have!). I told him to get lost and ended the call.

Got a call from a well-spoken man who gave his name as Eric, claiming he was ringing from the Citizens Advice Bureau about my unpaid debts. He mentioned that a couple of my lenders had reached out to him and he wanted to tell me about a government scheme that might clear a huge chunk of what I owe. I just said I wasn’t interested and ended the call.

Absolutely bonkers. This bloke claimed he'd got access to my credit records, I told him it was none of his concern. He then said it was the UK government's affair - I told him he had no links to the government and since I work at a bank, he was just wasting his time trying to scam me. He then told me to [email protected] and slammed the phone down. When will they actually do something about these dodgy calls?

I received a call from a gentleman of Asian descent who claimed to be affiliated with Citizens Advice. He insisted that our number should be removed from their directory, and to ensure no further calls would come through from that number, I subsequently blocked it.

They claimed I had unsecured debts over £5000, which is totally false. When I asked who exactly I owed, they couldn’t give any details. I told them I have no debts and they said they’d send it to debt collectors. They had my name, postcode, and mobile number. About 10 minutes later the same number called back saying they were the debt collectors. Again, no info on who I supposedly owed money to. I told them their details were wrong and warned if they called again I’d report them to the police. Then they just hung up.
