I received a text from this number saying it was Nationwide, saying I had a payment coming up and to contact the fraud department if it wasn’t me. Problem is, I don’t have an account with Nationwide and the account number they gave didn’t match anything. I blocked the number and reported it straight away. Interestingly, just half an hour before that, I got a spam call from another number which I rejected. Looking back, maybe I should have let it ring out instead of hanging up, as hanging up probably just let them know my number is live.
