We received a similar message from the number 07719385466. We decided against replying because that might let the sender know our number is in use. I'll touch base with our provider to see what options we have, as we’re not sure about the origins of this number or how we might opt-out differently.

I recently received a rather peculiar text from this number, claiming something about receiving £50 in compensation for damages related to an accident. Quite odd, really, as we’ve had no mishaps whatsoever! They even mentioned something about a "requirement" and had the cheek to say "stop". Just out of curiosity, has anyone any idea how much it might've cost us to be sent such a message?

Absolutely! I've just received a text stating: "Our records suggest you might qualify for £3750 due to an accident you've experienced." It's requesting a reply of either YES or 'STOP' to unsubscribe from further messages. I'm not inclined to engage, as it seems rather dubious. I have a strong suspicion that this is merely a tactic to verify active phone numbers, allowing them to keep bombarding us with unwanted messages. Best to ignore it altogether!

My significant other received a remarkably similar message claiming they were owed £3500 for a fictitious incident. We chose not to respond, and we sincerely hope that others follow suit. It would be a shame for these individuals to squander even more time, as they've already managed to waste ours without providing any genuine outcome. I can’t quite articulate our thoughts on these characters without potentially being offensive.
