About a fortnight back, I got a parking fine from the number 07747290740, claimed to be from some firm working for the council. Checked their website and they actually denied sending it, telling people to text 7726 and ignore the message. They also mentioned cars are linked to addresses, not phone numbers. I followed their advice and deleted it straight away. Now, out of nowhere, I’ve got another message saying the 50% discount period is over, but I’m just going to bin that one too. Definitely a dodgy scam.
