Got a call from a supposed UK HMRC, but the woman on the recording had a clear American accent. They said something about legal trouble if I didn’t comply, then cut off the call straight away. Seriously, it sounded like a typical scare scam trying to get my banking info. Why on earth would HMRC be using an American voice in the UK? Gave me a right bad feeling.
