It felt like a phishing attempt. There was a pause before they spoke, which made me think it was an automated call. The person had a strong accent, like someone from a call centre. They claimed to be from “BT” and asked for the name on my phone line. They mentioned many people nearby were having internet issues and wanted to run a test. I told them to send an email if they needed anything. Then they hung up. Definitely sounded fishy.
