Somebody pretending to be from Amazon called me, saying they’d noticed an order on my account and asked if I wanted to confirm or cancel it. I asked for details and they told me it was an Apple smartphone. I told them it was likely my son who ordered it, so no need to cancel. I haven’t placed any orders myself, and I know Amazon don’t normally ring you to check if you want to approve your purchase. Plus, the background noise sounded like a hectic call centre overseas, probably somewhere in Asia. So, I just ended the call.
