Got a message asking if I was ‘free to chat’. Didn’t reply 'cause I suspected it was a scam and just blocked the number straight away.

I got a message from someone wanting 'to have a word with me,' which was odd since I’ve never shared my phone number with anyone. How do they even get hold of our numbers? It’s quite worrying. Loads of calls and texts come from numbers that look almost the same. They also send dodgy links that seem like scams.

Received a message asking if they could ring me. I asked who was calling. They replied: Hi, Daniel Roberts from Prime Recruit UK here. There’s a great job offer for you. Can I send details about the role and salary? I said no thanks, I’m retired. It’s daft how they just target random phone numbers like that.
