Got a call from someone saying they were from "O2 Virgin Media," warning that my sim card was about to be blocked and offering a free replacement within a couple of days. Thing is, I’m not even a customer of O2 or Virgin Media. Just a few minutes earlier, my wife got the exact same call on her phone. They claimed to have my personal info but couldn’t even tell me my name properly. It’s obviously a dodgy sim scam, trying to frighten you into switching with them and then charging you more for calls. I gave them a piece of my mind and then ended the call.
