Got a call from this number and the person knew my name straight away. They asked if I was the computer’s owner and claimed they’d sent me messages for two weeks but had to call since I hadn’t replied. The guy said he was from Windows and that my account, which he gave a weird code for (00C04FD7D062), was at risk. I could tell it was a scam right off, but I played along to see what they’d say next. Told him I’d look into it and get back. He tried ringing me three times in quick succession but I didn’t pick up.

I told him straight up I knew he was trying to scam me, but he still called back about five times and even started making rude comments about my mum. Honestly, I’d just ignore this number and not pick up if it rings you.

I got a call claiming to be from Microsoft security and told them to stop calling cos it’s a scam. Even after I asked, they rang me two more times on my landline! Proper annoying.

This bloke called me from something called WINDOWS, said his name was Roy and sounded Asian. After a similar call wrecked my last computer, I just hung up straight away.
