Got a ring from 07745690675 early this morning around 8.43. The bloke on the phone sounded Indian and said he was with Microsoft, talking about my laptop or something. I won’t repeat what I told him, but it was proper rude and maybe a bit racist. Honestly, I don’t mind what anyone thinks about me reacting like that. If they’re trying to scam me, they should expect me to give it back to them in kind. I seriously doubt I’ll hear from him again.

Got a call from this number today, an Asian bloke saying I was late on my debt payments. Sure, I’m behind but told him to jog on cos I don’t owe a penny. Reported this number to the fraud squad and Trading Standards a couple weeks back as they pretended to be Citizens Advice Bureau.

They’ve rung me a couple times over the past half year. Every time asks for someone called Gillie Port? I tell ’em they’ve got the wrong number. Usually they just hang up but this time dude goes “Who the hell am I talking to?” was weirdly keen on my name! Then he claimed he was David Cameron’s assistant, haha seriously, no chance. Bet he didn’t get my name in the end.

someone named Steve, sounded a bit American, called about Microsoft computers and gave the phone to my husband, then he hung up. number was 07912465744. also got a call from that number a few days ago, seemed quite similar. had a missed call from an unknown number at 8 this morning too. is it just me or are these calls getting more frequent? i thought these were supposed to be banned now? already on the tps and trying to block them.

Got a call from this number just now, they actually knew my name and said I owed money on some bills. I told them straight up I don’t have any unpaid stuff in my name - which is true - and then I ended the call. Honestly, I got a bit nervous at first, thinking maybe I’d accidentally signed up for something, but after reading these comments, it’s clear this is the same kind of call others got, so definitely suspicious.

Got a call from 07745690675 twice. First time my son answered and we both got worried since I’m really struggling with money right now. The bloke hung up as soon as I asked why someone was calling from a mobile number. The second time I asked the same and he just said “ok bye”. I told him I was recording and would report it to the police, he just said “I know”. When I asked why he’s messing with people like this, he just kept saying “No, No” like I was daft. Ended up hanging up and blocked the number. :(

I got a call from 07745 690675, this bloke said he was from some case and knew my name and claimed I owed money, which is rubbish. Then he asked if I had a credit card but I told him no. After that, he started saying I had a nice voice and asked if I had a boyfriend, even wanted to know his name and if my parents knew him. It really gave me the creeps. My mate tried ringing back but no answer, felt like the number didn’t even exist. Proper creepy prank, it really unsettled me.

Saw in the comments someone else got a call from 07837 116371 on 2nd June, which is similar to what I experienced. Didn’t pick up the earlier call as the number was unfamiliar, but looks like these two might be linked, both coming through around the same time. Have blocked both now.

Just like others, I got a call from an Asian guy saying he was the Manager of my local CAB. He said I owed lots of money that had to be paid. I told him to get lost and hung up. Then, half a minute later, he called again, going on about how serious these debts were. I asked him, what part of leave me alone don’t you get?! So I decided to look up the number online. Honestly, it’s kinda creepy - he knew my number, name and even where I live. How on earth do they know all that?!

Got a call from an Asian guy with quite poor English, said he was from Citizen's Advice and mentioned some government programme to help clear debts. He said he just needed some "basic info" but I wasn’t having it. Told him if he actually had my info, he should email me proof about who he was and the scheme (didn’t give him my email). He kept saying that wasn’t possible! Told him no way was I giving anything and ended the call.
