I didn't actually click the link, instead I searched for it on google but nothing came up. I came across a site saying "the NHS might send texts, but they always tell you to get test kits through the legit gov.uk site." I've flagged it as suspicious because it sounds like one of those scams. If they start asking for money or ID details, that's a definite red flag. Dont trust that link at all.

some random number sent me a message, no idea who it was. i tried clicking the link but my antivirus blocked it straightaway. just to be safe, i took a lateral flow test afterwards.

Got a message from this number about covid-19, included a link to book a PCR test. Didn’t bother clicking on it though.

Just got a message saying I've been near someone with the omicron strain of covid. It told me to get a test kit from nhs.uk-testkitper.com/nhs. Seemed a bit off, not sure if it's legit or one of those scams.

Received a message from some Covid con artists claiming I’d been in close proximity to someone infected with Covid. They included a dodgy link. BEST AVOID CLICKING THAT LINK! I've already flagged it to Norton and O2 for them to deal with.

Just got a message saying "COVID warning: you've been near someone with the Omicron variant. Please get a test kit here," and it had a link attached. Normally, texts from the NHS come from a proper NHS number, not some random mobile one like this. Feels dodgy, so I reckon it's a scam. I'm gonna take a lateral flow test anyway, just in case, but no way am I clicking on that link.
