Got a text saying I've been exposed to Omicron and to order a test kit. But I honestly haven't been near anyone with it. Pretty sure it's a mistake.

Got a call from someone claiming to be NHS track and trace asking for my bank details so they could send me a PCR test. Just a heads up, the track and trace service has actually shut down now. Sounds dodgy to me!

I ordered a COVID-19 Omicron PCR test kit from a site charging 99p, but the .com web address seemed dodgy right away. The website looked quite convincing with legit links scattered around to trick folks. I’ve reported it to the police, and apparently, they’re looking into it - we’ll see what happens!

I’m grateful for the folks who posted their experiences here because I almost clicked on the link I got. The message I received was identical to what others described, but I’m certain I never signed up for test and trace.

Got a message saying I’d been near someone with omicron, but come on, that’s got to be a scam. They don’t send texts about that, you either get a call or a notification on the track and trace app. Makes me wonder if they really think we’re that daft.
