I got a recorded call saying someone tried to purchase two items on Amazon using my card, one for £400 and another for £1000. They told me to press 1 if I didn’t recognise the transaction. I just hung up and contacted my bank, who told me it’s a common scam. Apparently, if you press 1, they claim they’ll refund you but then try to get your card details. Rather than refunding, they end up stealing from your card.
