This lot said they were part of some official government office. Took me quite a while asking lots of questions before I figured out what’s really going on - they call themselves the Credit Investigation Department but really, they’re just a firm trying to push IVA schemes that they profit from. They wanted to sell me a plan that would’ve actually made me pay off my debts 4 years longer and wreck my credit score badly. Proper pushy and sneaky bunch. Wouldn’t trust them at all.

Got a call moments ago from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was with some insurance firm talking about a debt I supposedly owe. I told him to stop calling me and then ended the call.

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who was really hard to make out. He claimed I’d won some sort of competition and said they needed my bank info to transfer the prize money. I told him to just send a cheque instead since they obviously have my address and details already. Pretty sure it was a scam, so I just blocked the number.

Got a call from some scammer saying I was being looked into for debts and credit issues. As if I'd hand over any personal info to those con artists! Ended up blocking their number after telling the bloke to jog on, and it was coming from a mobile no less. Proper scam, need to get this sorted.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from some debt recovery firm. He mentioned a loan or some debt I supposedly owed but couldn't give me any specifics when I pressed him. Then he threatened court action and wanted me to pay £200. Thing is, I work in debt chasing myself, so I kept pushing for info and eventually he just hung up on me.

Got a call from someone with an Indian/Pakistani accent saying they're from the Citizens Advice Bureau in Manchester. They claimed they'd got some info about me from a company or something. I immediately asked if this was a scam, but before he could even reply, I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from this number 07745 355393, some Indian bloke who actually knew my name. He said he was ringing from Debt Solutions. I told him straight away to put me on their do not call list and to stop bothering me. Then I blocked the number. Seriously, how come O2 doesn’t do anything to block these annoying calls?

Got a call from someone named Eric Wilson, sounded like he had an Indian accent. He claimed to be from Debt Solutions and said he wanted to assist me. When I asked exactly which company he was with and his name again, all he did was repeat that he was there to help. I told him no thanks and ended the call.

Had a call from some bloke calling himself Mark at the Credit Investigation Bureau. Proper strong Indian or Pakistani accent, asked straight for me by name. Told him it’s really not a good day to be bombarding me with calls, and he started saying he wasn’t spamming but then just hung up on me. Strange bloke.

I got a call claiming there was some sort of credit investigation, but then the bloke said he was from the Debt Advice Foundation in Manchester. I had a quick Google and found out that was a load of rubbish. When I asked to be taken off their list, he said it wasn’t possible. I then asked to talk to a supervisor, but he refused to connect me. Ended up hanging up and blocking the number.

Sounds like some bloke with a thick Indian accent was on the line, struggling with his English and claiming his name was Eric Wilsonlll or something like that. He told me he worked for some private firm - couldn’t catch the name properly - and when I asked again, he just repeated himself. Then he said they had alerts about debts I supposedly owed, which is nonsense! I only have my phone, like you do with contracts. As soon as I told him I didn’t owe anything, he just hung up. This isn’t the first time I’ve had calls like this either, honestly lost track of how many times now.

got a call from someone claiming to be from credit investigators. they said they had info about some debts i supposedly owed. when i asked them how they found out about it, they just ended the call straight away.

Got a call out of the blue saying I’m eligible for some Government help to reduce my debts by 45%. For a moment, I was chuffed, thinking they might chip in on my mortgage! When I asked who I owed money to and what the amounts were, the bloke snapped, “You should know who you owe cash to, madam.” Then he claimed he got my info from the Citizens Advice Bureau?! Bit fishy if you ask me. Anyway, I was just making a cuppa, so I told him to keep talking while I sipped. Number was blocked, so straight to ignore.
