Got a message from 07745126005 saying it was from Dad about a mobile upgrade, asking me to text back on 07517641576 to confirm. Definitely looks dodgy to me, like a scam trying to get you to reply to a different number. Best thing is to ignore it and block the caller to stay safe.

Got a call with the same message saying "Hi Mum" - thankfully my daughter knew it was a scam straight away. Still, it really unsettled me. I’m an 82-year-old widow, so these things shake me up a bit.

Got a call from a supposed mummy who said she was having a rough day and wanted me to ring her back lol. Thing is, I’m a 75-year-old bloke with no kids whatsoever!! What a load of rubbish.

Got the same one again today, someone trying to be all cute saying "Hi Mum, text me." Bit weird cos I’m a Dad, not a mum! Totally a scam for sure.
