Got a call from some bloke claiming to sort out my internet and said he was calling from London. I joked that he sounded like a proper Cockney. He didn’t seem too chuffed and acted like I’d insulted him. I asked if he even knew what a Cockney was, he said yes but wouldn’t say what it meant. He must’ve thought it was an insult or something. Once I told him what a Cockney really meant, he just hung up. He might have sounded like a Londoner or someone from anywhere really, but nobody who actually speaks that way. Total scammer for sure.
