I just got a call from someone asking me about my debt, I told them I didn’t have any. Then out of nowhere, they burst out LAUGHING at me. I had to ask what was funny, and he said I had a lovely voice and he wanted to record it. I said that was seriously creepy as hell and ended the call right away.

Yesterday a bloke called, today a lady, both with an Asian or Indian accent. Their English was hard to understand and they said they were from the government, claiming debt collectors were after me. I kept telling them to take my number off their list. It’s definitely a scam. The person they’re actually trying to reach isn’t me. Apparently someone else’s number got used; that person is vulnerable, owes nothing, and isn’t in any govt trouble. They don’t even use the internet. These people selling our phone numbers should be stopped!

Got a call from a bloke with a quite strong foreign accent who immediately got way too casual for my liking. He claimed it was something about a debt and that he could assist me!! I said I wasn’t interested at all and told him to remove my details from his system. I also blocked his number so I wouldn’t get bothered again.

They kept ringing me even after I asked them to take me off their list. Guy said he was calling to help with some unsecured debt, but I told him I don’t owe anything and again to stop calling. After the fifth time, I told him in clear words to stop, but he still kept calling before I managed to block the number. Proper rude and annoying bloke. Is there a TPS equivalent for mobiles?

Answered after a looong pause. Proper thick Asian accent guy said his name was "Kevin" from some Financial Services Bureau or summat. Had a laugh, then just hung up and blocked him.

whoever they are, they come across as pushy and quite disrespectful. sounds like debt collectors, but they won’t reveal who they’re chasing until I verify all my info, which I’m not comfortable with. heads up, these calls don’t just come from one number, so if you don’t recognise the caller ID, it’s definitely not anyone you know. honestly, they’re just awful, constantly ringing at all hours from different numbers, and their main tactic seems to be trying to scare you.
